We have been informed of the passing away of the following club members since the end of the 2023 season.

Stuart Burton  – Deeping BA Bowls Club

Stuart was a much valued, proactive and respected member of his club. He was also a qualified level 1 coach. Stuart’s father was a very keen player for Blackstones . Our thoughts are with his family.

Bob Hill  – Bretton & District Bowls Club

Bob was a long-time member of the club and current President.  He always had a smile and encouraging word for both new and old members. He was also a keen bowler at Whittlesey indoor club. His favourite saying was “It’s Knock-up-able”.

Keith Brown – Werrington Bowls Club

It is with deep sadness we have to announce the recent death of Keith.  For many years Keith has been a key member of Werrington BC, as well as the representative of the Weekend League.

Peter White  – Langtoft Bowls Club

Peter was a cornerstone of Langtoft Bowls Club since its conversion from carpet bowls to an outdoor club.  The highlight of his bowling career came in 2010, becoming the National over 65 Singles Champion.  Still winning Club titles into his eighties, he passed away at home on 9 January 24.

Ann Cooper                           – Broadway Bowls Club, Yaxley.

Ann held many positions at Yaxley bowls including President. She was a staunch supporter of the Federation and served with distinction for more than two decades. She was the NWBF president in 2005 and as Captain of the of Silver Jubilee Vase team, she guided  them to the National Final in 2012; a feat yet to be duplicated.

Martin Neary                                    – East Community Bowls Club

Martin was a long standing and respected player of the club.

Wally Hickey – Bretton & District Bowls Club

Wally was a much valued member of the club and all round good bloke.
